Anamaria Marinca is Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian actress. Her screen debut came in Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film Sex Traffic and was the recipient of the British Academy Television Award for Best actress. She speaks fluently French, German and English. Her mother played the violin and her father is a theatre professor at one of Romania's top acting schools. The award was presented to her as an award for the Best Female Actor Award in 2000, for her performance in the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors. In 2008, she was honoured as the 'European Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She also was awarded numerous awards for her role in 4 Months 3 Weeks 2 Days a Romanian Art Film. She was the lead in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 three weeks and 2 days" (4 months, three weeks and 2 Days) which won her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film also won two awards in addition, the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) and the Cinema Prize. Additionally, she was a part in Francis Ford Coppola's film Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she was the character Yasim anwar in BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a part of the Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegel's highly well-known Five Minutes of Heaven. In the following year, she was a major role in 2014's Fury where she was Irma her German aunt of Emma.
