
Alexandra Rose Raisman was born on May 25, 1994. She is a retired American artistic gymnast. She was captain of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams, who took home their respective team competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she took home gold medals in floor and team competitions, along with the bronze medal on the balance beam, making her the most recognized American gymnast at the Games. She received the gold medal at the team competition at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas, her teammate, also took home gold. Raisman also earned silver in the all-around individual competition and for floor exercise. Raisman also earned silver medals for the individual all around and for floor exercise. She is also a two time national champion in floor exercise (2012 and 2015), and the champion of the national team in balance beam in 2012. She also is an Olympic medalist five times at the national all-around championships (silver, bronze, 2010 2011, 2012 and 2012 and). She was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
